We are all dedicated to supporting the robust community of New York City area screenwriters and filmmakers.

DAVID NEGRIN

FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
FEATURE & TV WRITING INSTRUCTOR

David Negrin is a screenwriter, producer, and professor of writing for film and television. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the NYC Screenwriters Collective, the largest not-for-profit screenwriting workshop in New York City. David is an Adjunct Professor of Film and Television at Hofstra University. He is also Host and Co-Producer of 'The Script' Podcast and moderator of @ScriptFeed. In addition to filmmaking, David has worked in political communications at the state-wide and national campaign level. He grew up in New York City, attended The Bronx High School of Science, and graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo with a degree in Computer Science.

ALEC POLLAK

DIRECTOR
FEATURE WRITING INSTRUCTOR

Alec Pollak is a screenwriter, producer and director living in Brooklyn. He was Chief Creative officer at the web video production and development company For Your Imagination where he co-created the web series “Kyle Piccolo: Comic Shop Therapist” and produced on a number of other series. He co-authored “Vita’s Garden”, a Doorpost Festival finalist and the semi-historical comedy short  “The Duel” and produced several short films for the eco-fashion brand Bhoomki including “Love Or…” and “Coat Tales.” He currently has several projects in various states of development.

Christy Lamb

Director of Development

Christy Lamb is an accomplished film/video Producer, Art Director, with non-profit director. Lamb served as Executive Director at Dance Films Association producing the Dance on Camera Film Festival at Lincoln Center. Lamb is currently producing several television pilots and a feature screenplay as Co-Founder of her production company, Venn Industries and is on the Rooftop Films screening committee. Her credits include indie film/tv/commercial production for clients (Scripps Network, Rain Media, National Headquarters) and directors (Jonathan Demme, Alla Kovgan, and Kamala Seals). Lamb is currently producing a short documentary about Patrick Haggerty, a gay country music icon whose album Lavender Country became a lifeline of information to isolated rural gays. Lamb recently completed principal photography on dark comedy short, HOV, as Producer. Lamb also recently completed work as AP on WHEN THE NIGHT FALLS, a short horror/dark comedy. She worked as Production Designer on Bad at Dancing which premiered at Berlinale.

Caitlyn Conefry

Development Assistant

Script Coordinator

Caitlyn writes TV, sketch, and short comedy scripts. She has studied half-hour comedy writing under Columbia Professor Alan Kingsberg and sketch comedy writing at the UCB theater. She also teaches ESL to adults, which requires a lot of drawing stick figures.
